Kristy Béké, a licensed Celebrity Natural Hair Stylist and Instructor for over twenty years is known for her professionalism, knowledge and expertise. Kristy Béké is also a Mentor, Life Coach, Inspirational Leader, Educator and a credible voice in the Natural Hair Care industry.
As a child, Kristy Béké had no idea she would become the accomplished business women that she is today. At a very young age, Kristy did not realize the time spent working with her mother, a local business woman in Benin, West Africa, would prepare her for entrepreneurship.
Kristy Béké Natural Hair Studio, formerly known as Bignon’s African Hair Braiding and Weaving, opened in June 1997 in Charlotte, NC. Currently, there are two locations serving the greater Charlotte NC community. Kristy Béké celebrates her 20 years in the Natural Hair Business in June of 2017.
Kristy Béké is distinguished by her ability to create innovative braiding styles and techniques, motivate and inspire her stylists or employees and transform and uplift her clients in a positive, friendly and vibrant atmosphere for all, clients and employees at Kristy Béké Natural Hair Studio. Throughout her career, her business approach has been direct. She listens to her client’s needs and desires and matches them to the right style. This personal touch is key to her long-term relationship with her clients.
Kristy Béké has dazzled audience at various workshops and conferences. Her braiding, weaving and natural hair styles have been featured in a many of prestigious Natural hair care magazines including Sophisticate’s Black Hair magazine, Hype Hair magazine, Black Beauty, Elite Braids, Sasha and many more. Kristy Béké has been recognized for the great work she does and her impact in the Charlotte, NC community. Kristy Béké is the recipient of numerous awards: as such The Time Warner, now Spectrum, Small Business Big Impact Award, etc… In addition, for over eight years, Kristy Béké has implemented an Annual Back to School Supplies Giveaway. Kristy Béké enjoys helping those who seek her expertise to create a future in the haircare industry. She has opened doors to many haircare entrepreneurs. Her goal is to help immerging entrepreneurs achieve their goals.
Today, Kristy Béké has a powerful growth vision for Kristy Béké Enterprises. In 2017, Kristy Béké will launch a Fashion and Hair Care Line.
