With over 20 years of experience in the beauty industry she travels the country education future entrepreneurs on the latest in braiding, extensions techniques and tree braid designs.
She is founder of BIGNON’S, the upmost African Hair Braiding Salons in Charlotte, NC. Her signature braiding technique the Tree K Braids, gives clients the illusion of a full weave while protecting the hair. This technique has made her one of the most influential natural hair stylist and educator nation wide. For her trendsetting and innovative styles, she was recognized in October 2014 as the Charlotte-based Spectrum Cable “Small Business, Big Impact” recipient.
She is also the founder of Charlotte Braiding Expo which provides entrepreneurs in the braiding industry a day of education in the natural hair care world. Her braiding, weaving and natural hair styles have been featured in many of prestigious natural hair care magazines including, Sophisticate’s Black Hair, Elite Braids, Hype Hair, Sasha and many more. Whereas the city of Charlotte and all of its citizens proclaimed September 15,2018, Kristy Beke Beauty and Women’s Empowerment Day in celebration of the grand opening, ribbon-cutting ceremony announcing the third Bignon’s location.
